For centuries, master winemakers have sourced the highest-quality French Oak from the Forest of Troncais to craft their barrels. Following in their footsteps, Karastan’s finders only use oak that has an exceptionally tight, yet refined grain pattern to create the luxurious Ashmore collection.
CHEVREAUX
The world’s finest wines share something in common with the finest floors: French Oak. The tannins that impact flavor to wine are the same tannins that protect the wood’s growth. It’s the benefit that makes French Oak so endearing to Karastan’s craftsmen.
VILLA POINTE

For generations, craftsmen have been searching for the ideal trees to hone into art. For Karastan’s finders, those ideal trees were European Oak, as it grows at the near-perfect rate with smaller rings and an exceptionally clean grain pattern. The result is the Worthington collection, which features four herringbone styles in addition to straight plank.
